Atlas messenger bag

I have been busy making a bag for my husband this week and finally got it finished ! 

He saw this fantastic atlas fabric on norfolk textiles website and decided it would make a great bag - It is a much bigger messenger bag than I would normally make but he specified the size ! It also took a lot of careful cutting to get the maps right !

Europe and Africa on the front flap

North America and Canada under the flap

South Africa on the back of the bag

Lined with stripy print fabric - complete with 5 pockets !! - One large zip pocket at the back of the bag, 2 small zip pockets at the front, and 2 elasticated top pockets, along with 2 ribbons with trigger clips for keys or cases.

I also made a matching headphone case and glasses case.

Most importantly he was very happy with the bags.

As anyone who has ever made a bag will know, putting in all the pockets is the bit which takes the longest - I was cursing by the time I had finished the last pocket but now it is finished, I am starting to think it would make a great nappy changing bag - may have to make another one soon !

Another bag and Kindle cases

 I've had the sewing machine going again - I have slightly adapted the design of this bag slightly and instead of putting the magnetic snap inside, I have put it on a tab, decorated with a button which is covered with the same fabric as the bag lining, I have also added a little 'hand made' charm

 

I have also made some oilcloth Kindle covers - the plain one is just lined with cotton fabric, the floral one is also lined with cotton fabric an has been padded with wadding to give some more protection. I am also going to try lining them with wool felt to give padding and protection, once I decide which one seems best and can make a few more and list them on Folksy

More large oilcloth Bags

More oilcloth bags - same size as the last ones but a slightly differant design each bag has poppers at the gusset which will unfasten to make the bag opening larger.  - £28 each

Large oilcloth Bags

Finally managed to get pictures uploaded - tried it a few times without success, but got there in the end !

Have been busy making larger Oilcloth bags - they have an end pocket which would be the right size for a water bottle, umbrella or even your phone and keys to make them easier to find.

All avaliable for £28 each (Plus P&P at cost if required)

Pink Tote bag

Been busy making a ballet bag for my daughter, she is 7 hence the PINK - it turned out a little bigger than I planned however I now think I need a less pink version for me, trouble is I just cut it out as I went along - note to self do a pattern as you go next time !! - Will have to go and see if I can do a pattern

End pocket for water bottle

Lots of room for dance shoes and an inside pocket as requested by daughter for her tissues.

One very happy daughter !

Linen Bags

Have also finished a few linen bags - I did have a few requests for these bags !

This fabric looks very pink in these pictures but is a little more purple in tone in real life ! Again with floral lining and inside pocket
